Very Scary!

It is that time of year again...when ghosts and goblins, pirates and psychopathic clowns, BYU football fans and soldiers, and even nintendo characters come out to haunt the local neighborhoods.  Well, at least those were the characters my kiddos thought of and then, in some cases, became this year for Halloween.  Jens went through three costumes, and the dream of a fourth...  He was a BYU football fan, a soldier (Dad's old uniform),  dreamt of being Nacho Libre, chickened out, and finally became a psycho clown.

I wasn't really thrilled with his final choice, (I don't love the idea of pleasant childhood things turning evil - but Jens informs me that clowns are not pleasant, but scary - to him, it seemed an entirely logical choice.) At any rate, he had a blast and returned home with several pounds of teeth rotting candy -  by the way, his and his brother's loot was threatened to be thrown away if teeth were not brushed well tonight...

All and all the kids had fun.  Grandma and Grandpa Larsen got here just in time for Trunk or Treat, and everything went great.  Sarah and Tommy were Pirates, complete with robust "ahoy there maties!" and two very hearty "AARRGHH's!"  They were adorable!

Sam and Peter were Mario and Luigi - these were definitely a big hit!

And again, Jens was a variety of things...

Trick or Treat anyone?

Blue camouflage pants, and a dirty shirt?...And he was let out in public looking like that? What is this family coming to in my absence?

Ha ha, cutest psycho clown I've ever seen. Sam and Pete looked amazing, and all I need to hear from Tommy right now is the pirate song from Backyardigans. :) Love you!
